Dental Insurance

If you have dental insurance, you are eligible for significant discounts on your regular dental care. Learn more about how your plan works and the companies Kraft & Schrott Dental Associates is in-network with below.

What Is Dental Insurance?

Most people are insured through their employer, but some individuals buy their own dental insurance plan. Either way, dental insurance is an excellent investment in oral health.

Dental insurance works more or less the same as your medical insurance, except that it is more like a benefits plan than “insurance.” In exchange for a certain amount of money -- your premium, usually paid each month -- you receive a list of treatments you receive complete or partial coverage for.

Healthy smiles that last a lifetime are built on regular preventive and general dentistry. Your insurance plan should fully cover two checkups and cleanings as well as a set of x-rays each year. Restorative treatments are usually covered at 80 and 50 percent, depending on which service you need. Of course, each plan is different. Contact your insurance provider to learn the specifics of your coverage.

What About In-Network, Out-of-Network Dentists?

An in-network dentist is one who has come to an agreement with your dental insurance company to provide certain services at a predetermined rate. For treatments that are not completely covered, you pay any money you owe at the time of your appointment. Once a claim has been processed and filed, your in-network dentist receives the full payment from the insurance provider.

A dentist who is out-of-network with your insurance provider is not obligated to provide services at a reduced rate.

Kraft & Schrott Dental Associates is in-network with the following providers.

What If I Don’t Have Dental Insurance?

Even if you don’t have traditional dental insurance, there are still options for making dental care more affordable. Kraft & Schrott Dental Associates is happy to work with CareCredit, the third-party financier. It works like a credit card -- use it to pay for your services at the time you receive them, and pay it off at the pace you are most comfortable with. We also accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
