Root Canal Treatment Boston
Putting a Stop to Terrible Toothaches

While most cavities only damage the outer layer of a tooth (the enamel), some are able to reach the soft tissue inside, which is the pulp. When this occurs, usually a very painful toothache is the result.
Instead of just pulling the tooth, we can use root canal treatment to stop the pain and save the tooth at the same time. This approach is much faster (and more affordable) than removing and replacing it!
If you need relief, just give us a call, and we’ll get you in as soon as possible!

What Happens During a Root Canal?

After we have numbed a patient, a small hole is created in the infected tooth to give us access to the pulp. This pulp is removed, and the interior of the tooth is cleaned and filled. Then at a follow-up appointment, a crown is placed to reinforce and protect the enamel.
Despite its reputation, most patients describe feeling little to nothing while in the chair during root canal treatment!
