Wisdom Tooth Extraction Boston

A Rite of Passage Made Easy

Most people will need to have their wisdom teeth removed, which are the last molars to come in around the ages of 16-25. That’s because they tend to become stuck (impacted), cause pain, and even push the teeth around them, which can lead to alignment issues.

Kraft & Schrott Dental Associates is able to see both teens and adults for wisdom tooth extractions, and we know how to keep a patient comfortable both in the chair as well as during recovery.

Whether it’s you or your child’s wisdom teeth that need to be looked at, we’re eager to offer the professional attention you deserve—just give us a call today to schedule a consultation.

The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process

A wisdom tooth extraction can be done one of two ways depending on the situation:

  • Simple: The teeth have mostly come in, so we just numb the patient and “wiggle” the teeth until they gently slip out.
  • Surgical: For teeth that are still within gum and bone, small incisions are made so the teeth can be extracted in pieces. This allows us to use smaller incisions, so there is less recovery time needed afterward.
